Pre-Professional Division
Serious Training for Aspiring Artists

PROGRAM

Ages 7-24

California School of Classical Ballet’s Pre-Professional Division is rigorous training and performance program designed for highly motivated dancers ages 7-24 who are committed to pursuing professional- level excellence.

Rooted in the Russian Vaganova method, this division provides a structured, progressive curriculum that mirrors the training model of world- renowned classical academies. Students train in a supportive, focused environment under the guidance of certified, experienced faculty who prioritize both technical mastery and individual growth.

Students follow a set weekly class schedule and are placed into one of two Pre-Pro levels based on age, experience, and readiness.

Coursework & Levels

We offer two pathways for aspiring professionals:

Pre-Professional Division I - Levels 1 & 2
Pre-Professional Division II - Levels 3-5

Each level includes required classes in:

Classical Ballet Technique
Pointe / Pre-Pointe (if applicable)
Repertoire & Variations
Conditioning & Flexibility
Contemporary / Modern
Performance Rehearsals

The Pre-Professional Division follows a structured weekly schedule with a set number of required classes, designed for students pursuing intensive training.

Our expert instructors provide personalized corrections, progress evaluations, and mentorship to help each dancer reach their full potential.

PERFORMANCE AND EDUCATIONAL

Pre-Professional dancers participate in year-round performance opportunities including:

Fall/ Halloween Gala
Spring Showcase
Local fairs, festivals, community events
Photoshoots (optional)

In addition, dancers may have access to:

Masterclasses with renowned guest artists
Seminars on nutrition and injury prevention
Career- focused mentorship and preparation guidance
