2026 Summer Training Program

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our 8 week Summer Training Program is designed as a focused period of accelerated growth.

Without the demands of the academic year, dancers are given the opportunity to train with greater consistency, increased frequency and a deeper attention to detail. This allows for meaningful technical advancement, strength development and refinement.

Our program emphasizes disciplined, intentional work, building strong classical foundations, improving coordination and control and developing the artistry required for higher level training.

Build Strength, Control & Longevity in our conditioning classes

Our training extends beyond technique classes to develop the strength, coordination and control required for advanced classical ballet. Conditioning is an essential part of a dancer's training, not a supplement.

Through targeted conditioning, dancers build:
-
Strong, articulate feet and stable turnout
-
Increased flexibility developed safely and effectively
-
Upper body coordination for refined port de bras and turns
-
Core and back strength for sustained balances and extensions
-
Power, control and proper mechanics for jumping
These classes are designed to support technical progress while promoting long term strength and injury prevention.

Specialized Training Classes

Strong Feet & Turnout
Develop strength and articulation in the feet and turnout using rhythmic exercises and targeted tools to improve alignment, stability and control.

Flexibility for Dancers
PNF and static stretching focused on hips, hamstrings and calves, helping dancers safely increase range of motion and achieve greater extension.

Upper Body/ Back Strength & Flexibility
Targeted conditioning for the arms, shoulders, and back to support port de bras, turning, and overall upper body control, combined with progressive work to strengthen and lengthen the spine.

Strength & Coordination
Develop balance, control and core connection using specialized equipment, alongside dynamic exercises that prepare dancers for powerful and injury resistant jumping.

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is a structured program designed to improve core strength, alignment, and weight placement through carefully developed exercises.

Using fitness balls and targeted repetitions, students build muscle memory and gain a deeper understanding of correct muscle engagement, supporting safe and effective technical development.

Pilates Reformer for Dancers (ages 11+)
A specialized Pilates class designed to build core strength, alignment and stability using the reformer. Exercises focus on developing deep muscular support, improving control and enhancing overall movement quality to support ballet technique and prevent injury.
Limited to 8 dancers per class. Participation requires enrollment in a 4- or 8- class series.
